Indien ist mit einer Fläche von 33 Mio. km² das siebtgrößte Land der Erde. Gemeinsam mit den Staaten Pakistan, Bangladesch, Nepal, Bhutan, den Malediven und Sri Lanka bildet es den südasiatischen Subkontinent, der einen eigenständigen Naturraum darstellt. Amtssprachen sind vordergründig Hindi und Englisch, es gibt aber 21 weitere Amtssprachen und mehr als 100 lokale Sprachen. Die Einwohnerzahl liegt bei über 339 Mio. Grenzenlos arbeitet mit der Partnerorganisation ICYE (ICDE) Indien.

Experience Indien – Arbeit mit Kindern: Mysore Public School
A residential day school affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. Regular activities involve teaching and guiding students in the age groups of 10 to 17. The volunteers will get excellent cultural exposure to Indian children as well as Indian teachers and their families. They also get a tremendous opportunity to interact with the parents on the children. We offer French as a second language, therefore a volunteer with French knowledge would be helpful. The volunteers will be involved in On-Campus teaching as well as outdoor education of children, physical and mental development and cultural exposure to children by counselling. We wish to welcome a female volunteer to help us with the kindergarten.
Location: Bangalore
Volunteers working time: Mostly from Monday to Friday. Working hours are between 20 and 40 hours a week.

Experience Indien – Soziales: Liza’s Home
Liza’s Home is for mentally challenged women. There are around 25 women and 6-7 members of staff who look after them with a view to provided care and endure them to develop skills. Volunteers task: We have a music teacher coming once a week to teach vocal & instrumental. We have a daily worship & Sunday (Morning & Evening). We have Yoga, acu-pressure, occupational therapies and more. Workshop: bead works, jewelry making, bowl making, paper bag, cooking (pickle, jam making, peanut butter, etc.), tailoring work (dress, apron), gardening work.
Location: rural community in Bangalore.
