Gruppenleitung als Praktikum

Im Rahmen Deines Praktikums als Leitungsperson, bekommst Du von uns:

  • ein mehrtägiges Training zu Teambildung, Konflikt- und Krisenmanagement, Gruppenleitung und interkultureller Kommunikation,
  • Unterkunft und Verpflegung sowie alle lokalen Fahrtkosten während des/der Camps
  • Unterstützung von Deinem Team (je nach Größe des Camps 2-5 Personen),
  • jederzeit Unterstützung und Beratung seitens der Koordination von Grenzenlos.

Deine Tätigkeiten umfassen vor allem die Betreuung und Assistenz für die internationalen Teilnehmer_innen mit und ohne Beeinträchtigung und gemeinsam mit Grenzenlos, das Camp koordinieren.

Anforderungen:

  • Alter: 18+
  • Du solltest teamfähig, offen, motiviert, lösungsorientiert, verlässlich, flexibel, engagiert und selbstständig Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Freude an der Arbeit mit Menschen (Gruppenleitung, Teamarbeit) stehen im Vordergrund.
  • Gute Kenntnisse in Englisch
  • Von Vorteil für das Projekt: Erfahrungen in den Bereichen Inklusion & Integration; weitere Sprachkenntnisse für Übersetzungen.

Dein Arbeitsort ist unterschiedlich je nach Camp (Camps v.a. in Wien, Niederösterreich oder der Steiermark).

Deine Arbeitszeiten sind während der 2 oder 3 Wochen des Camps rund um die Uhr. Es gibt aber Freitage und Pausen am Tag.

Dein Gewinn: Du besuchst einen intensiven Trainingskurs und sammelst praktische Arbeitserfahrung mit einer internationalen Gruppe sowie in der Organisation des Camps. Außerdem lernst Du durch die interkulturellen Begegnungen dazu, machst eine „sinnvolle“ Arbeit in einer angenehmen Atmosphäre und anschließend kannst Du an Seminaren im Ausland teilnehmen!

Du möchtest ein Workcamp im Ausland leiten?
Wenn du unsere Workcamp-Leiter_innen-Ausbildung abgeschlossen und ein Camp in Österreich geleitet hast, besteht auch die Möglichkeit, bei unseren Partnern im Ausland ein Camp zu leiten.

Leading an international summercamp/Internship

During your internship you will receive:

  • A Training on Team Building, Conflict Management, Crisis Management, Communication and Group Coordination.
  • Accommodation and Food as well as the local transportation costs during the Camp (we do not cover international transportation costs to and from Austria).
  • Support from other leaders of your team (ca. 2-5 depending on how big the camp will be).
  • Support and guidance from the coordinators from Grenzenlos.

Your main tasks are to assist and take care of the international participants with or without disabilities and to coordinate, together with Grenzenlos, the summer camp.

Qualifications:

  • Age: 18 +
  • You should like to work in a team, be open-minded, as creative as possible, flexible, motivated, problem-solving oriented, reliable, communicative and independent. The training helps you to strengthen these areas. Communication and the joy to work with people (team work, leading groups) ire the core qualities.
  • As English is the official Camp language and our participants come from all over the world, a good English level is expected.
  • Special qualities that are an advantage for the project: experience in the areas Inclusion and Integration; other languages for translation.

Location: Depending on which camp you are in, you will be working mostly in Vienna, Lower Austria or Styria.

Working Time: During the two or three weeks of the camp you will basically have a full-time job, but you will get some days off and breaks during the working day.

Benefits: You will get an intense training course and working experience with an international group, experience in organising activities, intercultural learning experience, diverse and interesting work with positive atmosphere. We are looking for local and international leaders, so you can apply even if you are not from Austria and/or you do not live in Austria.
