Peru befindet sich im westlichen Teil Südamerikas und ist 1 285 216 km² groß. Das Land ist damit flächenmäßig das drittgrößte Land in Südamerika. Die Hauptstadt ist Lima. In Peru lernst Du Spanisch. Weitere Amtssprachen sind Quechua und Aymara. Grenzenlos arbeitet mit der Partnerorganisation ICYE Peru (Asociación Vida y Voluntariado -VIVOL).

Experience Peru – Senior_innen: Splenfor Home Center
Splenfor Home Center is a place that hosts elderly people (dependent and/or independent). The beneficiaries will be provided with a safe environment that aims to allow them to enjoy activities and spaces of people at the same age and in the same situation. Most of the beneficiaries were abandoned by their families due to a lack of resources or because they are ill. Main activities are to provide meals per day, recreational activities, accompaniment in the house and outside the house, health assistance, etc.
Location: Los Olivos
Volunteer tasks: The volunteers will help doing different tasks, mostly assisting the staff (this means that they will help the health, administrative and home staff). Their activities will differ according to the planned activities. From helping to prepare the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), to accompany the elderly to do their activities. As well, they will have to prepare workshops (morning and evening) for the beneficiaries.
Volunteer requirements: Some health and caring knowledge would be of use.
Volunteer’s working time: Mostly from Monday to Friday. Working hours are between 20 and 40 hours a week.

Experience Peru – Inklusion: Instituto Especial Fray Masias
Fray Masias is a project that offers services for disable children and adults; in this place the students will have access to a specialized education. It offers academic, cultural, artistic and medical services as well as workshops. The main activities are to provide a safe and secure environment for disabled people, in which they can learn academics, artistical and cultural subjects. Location: San Borja, Lima.
Volunteer tasks: Spanish knowledge. Some experience working with disabled adults or children. If possible, some knowledge of dancing and music.
Volunteer requirements: The volunteer will help doing different tasks, however, the main duty will be to support the teacher during the classes, including taking care of the students, assist during the academic and cultural lessons and carry out some workshops.
Volunteer’s working time: Mostly from Monday to Friday. Working hours are between 20 and 40 hours a week.
